In Memory of
Frank C. Black
1936-2008

Last night (08/18/08) we lost a good friend.  Whether you called him boss, pops, dad, or just Frank, he was like a father to many, a teacher to most, but a good friend to all.

As the father figure, you could go to him for anything.  He knew when you were down and found a way to get you up again.  I think they call that being a motivator.  He was good at that.

He taught us as well.  Occasionally, it would be a "classroom", but mostly he taught us by example.  He taught us to do the right thing in a business not always known for that.  I think they call that being a leader, a leader with integrity.  He was great at that, also.

As a friend, you could talk to him about personal problems, religion, politics, Saluki sports, anything.  He was a friend of the arts, Saluki sports, or anyone who was in need.  Many of us can attest to that.

He gave all of us a chance to succeed in life.  For that we all thank him.

He also set us up to succeed after he was gone.  We planned for this day years ago.  Since 1993, we have had things in place if any of us passed, Vogler Motor Company would not suffer.

Bryan and I don't expect any changes.  We have great people here and Frank left a little of himself in all of us.

Congratulations to
Larry "Bud" Bullock
Vogler Motor Company
EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

Bud is one of our 'utility' players.  He keeps cars fueled up, batteries charged, and the lot looking good.  He's also a capable handyman performing anything asked of him from painting to changing light bulbs.  And the most impressive thing is, he does it all with a big SMILE on his face.
Thank you Bud!!!

Consider this:
The price of fuel does not tell the whole story about the cost of owning a vehicle.  Most trucks and SUV's get an average of 15 mpg.  The typical consumer drives only 12,000 miles per year and will spend only about $1,250 more per year on fuel than a consumer driving a vehicle achieving 25 mpg.  If you can save $5,000 by purchasing a less fuel efficient vehicle, you can virtually drive for 4 years and see no difference in the cost of ownership.  Check our 'Pre-Owned Specials' page to see some examples of how you can save.
